Patty Rangel
Patty Rangel is an accomplished leader in global education, sustainability, and cultural diplomacy. She holds an MFA in Producing from CalArts and has completed advanced studies at the United Nations Summer Intensive Program in New York City and SingularityU at NASA. Her work on Space Education, Simulation-Based Learning, and Live Action Role Play for Space Settlements has been published by the International Astronautical Congress in Australia (2017) and Germany (2018).
In 2022, Patty represented the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN) as an NGO delegate to the United Nations Environment Assembly in Kenya. She currently serves as the Cultural Attaché for CASA Latina to the Global Ecovillage Network North America (GENNA) and holds the responsibility of Guardian of the Baston of Life and Peace for North America.
Her dedication to ecological education is demonstrated through her completion of the Ecovillage Design Education (EDE) program at the Federation of Damanhur, alongside her certifications in EDE Online, GEDS Social, and Training of Trainers (ToT) in Mexico. Patty is deeply committed to the Rights of Mother Earth and Indigenous Wisdom, contributing investment funding and production management to initiatives such as the 300 Trees for Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya, the ECCO Gathering scholarships for CASA Jóvenes in Argentina, 300 Trees for India, 300 Trees for Namibia, the Mini-EDE and ToT in Tulum, Mexico, and the completion of the Agora education facility at the Federation of Damanhur.
Looking ahead, Patty will be launching Mini-EDEs in the United States while continuing to collaborate internationally as a Gaia Education Facilitator, Investor, and GEN-I Ambassador, working to foster regenerative practices and education worldwide.
